It's your first trade show! You just spent countless hours and what seems countless dollars on collaterals, display pieces, and give-a-ways. Your booth is set in a prime location and the potential for new business is tremendous. So, what could possibly go wrong? EVERYTHING! Here are a few tips to get the most out of your trade show experience:
- Have Plenty of Business Cards - It never hurts to get your name out to as many people as possible.
- Cover the Show Floor and Seminars - Don't miss out on lead generation opportunities in the seminars/classes at a trade show. At the same time, don't leave your booth unattended. Split your team in half and keep people on a rotation.
- Clearly Visible Branding - Make sure that your brand (logo, slogan, company name) is clearly visible at all times.
The Show Is NOT About You - To ensure a great trade show experience, put yourself in the attendee's shoes and cater to what you think they might want to see. Ask past attendees about what they liked and disliked.
