Why Go Green?

Obviously “going green” is the big trend right now, but why should we really go green?

Irresponsible uses of our resources are destroying our world’s natural treasures such as our rain forests, wetlands, and beaches. Acid rains, caused by emissions due to human activity, pollute our air, water, and soil; poisoning crops, animals, and ourselves. Increasing concentrations of heat trapping CO2, caused by burning fuel in our cars, homes, power plants, and factories paired with cutting down the trees that help the Earth regulate the CO2 levels are causing our Earth’s temperatures to swell.

As a result, sea levels are rising, storms are becoming more intense and frequent, agriculture is getting disrupted, droughts and wildfires are becoming more common, and species are becoming endangered.
