Sojo, Inc. is looking for Client Engagement specialists to work with our clients to fully understand their strategic opportunities and to lead the development of solutions that achieve measurable business goals. Sojo’s Client Engagement team serves as the primary link between clients’ stakeholders and our internal cross-functional teams.
As an Account and Client Engagement Director you are the point person with our clients. You’ll be expected to develop and maintain relationships with Vice President and C-Suite level stakeholders, providing leadership/guidance and serving as partner in their business. You should be considered an expert in talking through digital trends and in providing strategic direction to our clients. You’ll also be expected to be well-versed in the full suite of Sojo, Inc. services, ranging from strategy to web development, advertising to media buying/planning, and analytics. Our Account and Client Engagement Directors act as solution architects for our clients’ needs. You can expect to be held accountable for $2M+ in revenue annually.
Client Relationships:
- Understands full suite of all Sojo, Inc. services, ranging from creative design and advertising to web development.
- Establishes and maintains senior level client relationships and works to contribute strategic value beyond day-to-day operations.
- Proactively identifies client risks or opportunities and manages internal teams to respond to these client needs.
- Be able to develop proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Demonstrates industry thought leadership, including the ability to develop a broader industry network of clients and contacts through speaking and publishing.
- Delivers personalized thought leadership to help guide clients in the digital space.
- Builds and monitors long range account plans and relationship maps.
- Qualifies leads and wins new business.
- Participates both locally and nationally in public forums on topics related to digital
Fiscal Responsibility:
- Manages a portfolio of clients or work streams within a large client to revenue and margin targets.
- Creates and updates forecasts in order to provide visibility for revenue recognition and staffing.
- Serves as point of accountability for invoicing and collections .
- Sets account investment priorities for one or more clients, executes on investments and monitors progress/results.
- Oversees the development and execution of the master service agreement (MSA), retainer arrangements, statements of work (SOW) and change requests.
Team Management:
- Serves as a point person in structuring responses to client needs across a broad range of capabilities.
- Establishes and leads cross-functional internal teams to support client(s).
- Responsible for building Client Engagement team, including account responsibilities, career growth, and training.
- Indirectly guides all members of internal cross-functional team, including team dynamics, suitability, and career growth.
- Participates in executive steering committee, helping to set the strategic direction for the organization.
- Leads annual planning and quarterly updates across a portfolio of accounts.
General Qualifications:
- 10+ years of related industry experience, preferably consulting, interactive, agency or direct marketing experience.
- College degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of demonstrated track record of developing senior level client relationships – strong client references are necessary.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams of 20+ people.
- Strong knowledge or experience in all aspects of digital experiences, with particular emphasis on interactive marketing, strategy, and technology.
- Industry expertise in product and services for at least one vertical (retail, financial services, communications, travel).
- Marketing expertise a plus in existing relationships with Business, IT or Marketing executives within Fortune 500 companies.

Role-specific Qualifications:
Sojo, Inc. is currently looking for an Account and Client Engagement Director with deep expertise in both advertising and web development, preferably with travel, entertainment or communications industry exposure.
